The NCS Training Program
The Training Program is offered only to qualified public school speech therapists and consists of both observation and practicum. In the first phase, therapists view THE UNDERSTANDING AND THE TREATMENT VIDEOS, using a special study guide and supplement to the manual prepared for SLP's. Special emphasis is placed on maximizing the child's therapy experience within the school setting.
In the second phase, therapists administer all aspects of The New NCS Treatment Program with clients, using a special monitoring device, and access to the Center's therapists' hotline number for questions.
At the end of a six-month monitoring phase, those therapists who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of The New NCS Treatment Program and the ability to transfer that understanding to the therapeutic setting are awarded Certification.
