The NCS Training Program
The Training Program offered to qualified therapists consists of both
observation and practicum. In the first phase therapists observe a two-day
intensive Treatment Workshop conducted by Dr.
Martin F. Schwartz.
The second phase consists of a six-month clinical application of the therapeutic
techniques demonstrated at the Workshop. Therapists administer all aspects
of The NCS Treatment Program
with clients, recording on tape their initial presentation and periodic
therapy sessions. These tapes are mailed to Dr. Schwartz who evaluates
the therapist's grasp of the techniques. All tapes are returned with Dr.
Schwartz's comments and suggestions. Therapists enrolled in the Training
Program receive a practice manual, a special monitoring device, and access
to the Center's special therapists' hotline number for questions.
At the end of the six-month monitoring phase, those therapists who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of The NCS Treatment Program and the ability to transfer that understanding to the therapeutic setting are awarded Certification. The fee for the training program is $1250.
