A Fluency Enhancer is being used to reduce the time required to make permanent changes. The Enhancer contains an electronic circuit which, while not treating the physical cause of the problem, nevertheless creates a mode of speaking which results in fluent speech.
The most important feature of the Enhancer is that it virtually eliminates the requirement for practice. Additionally, unlike similar devices, which have to be worn permanently, the NCS Fluency Enhancer is designed to be dispensed with - like training wheels on a bicycle.
